Ang didikasyon at marubdob na hangaring matulungan sa edukasyon ang kabataang Maubanin, itinatag ni DR.MARIA D. PASTRANA CASTRENCE ang FILIPINAS COLLEGE noong Oktubre 9, 1947. Ang paaralang nabanggit ay una niyang itinayo sa lunsod ng Pasay taong 1946, kung kaya’t nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na maitatag ito sa Mauban, Quezon. Ibinigay nito ang pag-aaral ng edukasyon sa elementarya, sekondarya, at kolehiyo.
Ang Filipinas College ay pinag-isa noong ika 2 ng Marso 1962, sa pamamagitan ng Pangulo at Tagapamuno ng Board of Trustees na si Dr. Maria D. Pastrana-Castrence at ang kanyang mga kapatid na sina Juan, Mariano at Vicente ang miyembro nito. Bilang kawang-gawa noong Nobyembre 14, 1965, ang paaralan ay kinilala sa pangalang, DR. MARIA D. PASTRANA CASTRENCE FOUNDATION, INCORPORATED kung saan si Bb. Diwata, ang unang punong guro.
Upang masiguro ang kalidad at maipagpatuloy ang katapatan ng paaralan sa edukasyon, ang mga pinagkatiwalaang miyembro ng MDPC Foundation, Inc. ay nagsagawa ng Katibayan ng Pagkakaloob noong Nobyembre 7, 2001. Ayon sa katibayan ipinagkakaloob ang paaralan sa ilalim ng pamamahala ng Munisipalidad ng Mauban, Quezon sa pangunguna ni Punong Bayan, Kgg. FERNANDO Q.LLAMAS at ng Sangguniang Bayan. Isinasaad din sa nabanggit na katibayan na gagamitin lang ang paaralan bilang paaralan lamang at ipagpapatuloy ang pangalang Dr. Maria D. Pastrana, bilang opisyal na pangalan.
