(Acquire Teaching Instructional materials leading to Knowledge Honing and Advancement)
Project ATIKHA
The school’s Special Education Program through the initiative of its former Principal, Elmer C. Ravina, was coordinated and planned with EPS Joan Alejaida R. Mauhay and LGU -DSWD Mauban last 2019 and was launched in 2020 during pandemic year. Two devoted general education teachers from English and MAPEH Department, Armida L. Valencia, School’s SPED Coordinator and subject teacher, and Myline V. Impreso, Adviser and subject teacher of SPED accepted and facilitated special education in accordance with DepEd Order 044, s. 2021 known as Policy Guidelines on the Provision of Educational Programs and Services for Learners with Disabilities in the K to 12 Basic Education Program. Despite of the school’s insufficient resources, it pursued its program advocacy and utilized channels to cope with related challenges.
To continue cope and adapt with the fast-changing learning demands in education, Project ATIKHA was proposed and initiated this school year by the School SPED Coordinator, Armida L. Valencia, as its proponent and with the approval of its present Principal III, Mario A. Guevarra. This intends to call for solidarity among stakeholders as generous donors and partners to help the school and learners with disabilities develop learning competencies in special education program. Numerous teaching and learning instructional materials were provided, utilized, and promoted authentic and engaging learning pursuits.
