(Efficacy of the Scan Attendance Manager Application)

Project ESAMA v2.0

PURPOSE

 

This study primarily aimed to assess the efficacy of the Scan Attendance Manager Application using Quick Response Code (Project ESAMA) as perceived by the teachers in Dr. Maria D. Pastrana National High School, Mauban, Quezon, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

DESIGN/METHOD/APPROACH

 

This study has utilized a pre-experimental one group research design was employed to determine the Efficacy of Project ESAMA. Application, as assessed by the teachers, was analyzed using One-Way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance). Paired T-test of two dependent samples was utilized to know if there is a significant difference in class attendance before and after using the project. One-Way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) was used among the five efficacies of Project ESAMA.

 

FINDINGS

The teachers' perceptions through Project ESAMA differ significantly across the five classifications. Efficient output receives high marks among the five of its overall function of monitoring class attendance. There is a significant difference between the weighted average class attendance percentage of the months before and after using the ESAMA app. The study revealed using Project ESAMA improves class attendance monitoring and eliminates students' absences.

RESEARCH LIMITATIONS/ IMPLICATIONS.

 

The attendance was limited to 50 SHS Grade 12 students before and after utilizing Project ESAMA S.Y. 2021-2022. Selected Dr. Maria D. Pastrana NHS teachers utilizing this app serve as respondents of this study. Project ESAMA with Quick Response Code boosts class attendance and motivates students through real-time SMS notification.

ORIGINALITY/VALUE 

This action research has proven the effectiveness of Project ESAMA in improving the class attendance monitoring of SHS Dr, Maria D. Pastrana National High School.
